Under Armour Signs WNBA Star Nika Mühl

Under Armour has added another rising star to its basketball roster, signing WNBA guard Nika Mühl to a multi-year partnership. The Croatian playmaker, known for her tenacious defense and elite court vision, will serve as an ambassador for the brand on and off the court while wearing Under Armour and Curry Brand sneakers throughout the WNBA season.
Mühl, drafted 14th overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2024 WNBA Draft, made an instant impact as a rookie before suffering an ACL tear that sidelined her season. Before her professional debut, she left her mark at UConn, becoming the program’s all-time assist leader and a two-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year. Mühl played a pivotal role in the Huskies’ 2024 Final Four run but has significantly impacted off the court. She has emerged as a fashion trendsetter, earning accolades from GQ and LeagueFits for her tunnel fits.

“My style is all about confidence,” said Nika, “I feel like I'm still exploring and trying new things. I don't like to stick to one look and at the end of the day, we are multidimensional people who change and grow. A year from now, I might not like something I wore yesterday (unless it’s Under Armour of course), but I feel like that’s just that constant evolution of fashion and my expression of self. I'm down to take risks, down to try something new and stay confident.”
With Under Armour, Mühl joins a growing list of WNBA stars, including Kelsey Plum, Marina Mabrey, and Diamond Miller. Her connection with the brand began when she attended Plum’s Dawg Class, an elite camp for female college guards hosted in partnership with Under Armour and Kelsey Plum. That experience exposed Mühl to the company’s culture, ultimately influencing her signing decision. “It’s so much more than just the logo, it’s an entire community that shares the same values I do,” Mühl shared.
With her fearless playing style, off-court influence, and Under Armour backing her every step, Mühl is set to be a defining force in the next generation of women’s basketball. We’ll have to see how she returns from her ACL injury in the upcoming WNBA season, which is set to begin on May 16.
