One of Nike’s most prominent collaborators in the last few years, the Japanese label Undercover, recently unveiled their latest linkup with a variety of Gore-Tex-laden Nike Air Force 1 Lows. Already seen in a multitude of colors, including all-white and all-black, another neutral tone has appeared in the form of “Grey Fog.”
Like the other pairs in the collection, the humble AF1 gets an updated look thanks to its Huarache-like neoprene bootie and Air Revaderchi-inspired TPU heel overlay. For the rest of the sneaker, a grey-shaded Gore-Tex leather covers the usual overlays and underlays with the toebox forgoing its usual perforated design. Branding details courtesy of Jun Takahashi’s Undercover make their appearance on the “Balance” and “Chaos” branded lace dubraes and on the circular tongue tag with the same dichotomized motif surrounding the Undercover “U” logo. Along the midfoot, a grey leather Nike Swoosh runs back underneath the black TPU heel overlay towards co-branded Undercover and Nike logos in grey. For a pop of color, the neoprene bootie comes in Lakers-like colors of purple and gold with the insole taking the latter of the two shades to host more co-branded details. Underfoot, the grey AF1 midsole comes splattered in purple and gold paint and gets paired with a black rubber outsole.
The Undercover x Nike Air Force 1 Low Gore-Tex Grey Fog is slated to release on October 8th, 2022 through Undercover online and in-store with a global release slated for October 12th, 2022 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
