West NYC and adidas Celebrate Tip Top Shoes' 85th Anniversary With a Footwear Collection

adidas and West NYC continue their long-standing relationship through their latest collaboration. Tip Top Shoes, the sister store of West NYC, located at 155 W 72nd St. in New York, is celebrating its 85th birthday in 2025. In honor of this celebration, West NYC and adidas are dropping a two-shoe collection to celebrate the future as the last full-service retailer in NYC.
The West NYC x adidas Tip Top Shoes 85th Anniversary Collection features two classic silhouettes, the SL 72 RS and the Handball Spezial. The adidas SL 72 RS has a burgundy base inspired by the store's landmark Manhattan shop. Premium suede and nylon cover most of the upper, accented by brogue-like Three Stripes branding on the sides and serrated edges that mimic wingtip oxford's that tie back to Tip Top Shoes' origins.

The adidas Handball Spezial kicks things up with a pink-based bouclé upper. The phrase "West Side Best Side" is found across the back heel tabs, embroidered in gold, a nod to the Upper West Side, where West NYC calls home. White leather accents and a gum rubber sole complete the look.
Both pairs in the West NYC x adidas Tip Top Shoes 85th Anniversary Collection come in special packaging. A special in-store event by West NYC and adidas Cornerstone Community will occur on April 24 with a live DJ set from NYC native Nina Sky. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Two Ten Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting workers in the footwear industry.
The West NYC x adidas Tip Top Shoes 85th Anniversary Collection will release on April 26, 2025, exclusively through West NYC and Tip Top Shoes online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is $120 for the SL 72 RS and $130 for the Handball Spezial.
