Over the last few years, Japanese outwear brand White Mountaineering has launched collaborations with utilitarian and outdoor-ready footwear brands like Merrell and Timberland. The brand has also dabbled in the lifestyle segment with a team-up with Vans. Once again, White Mountaineering is bringing its design prowess to a lifestyle silhouette as the brand is teaming up with Reebok on the Club C 85 Vintage.
Both pairs in the collection, one in Black and the other in White come with a reworked lacing system, albeit one entirely removed. Instead, the eyelets are sewn to the tongue to create a slip-on version of the Club C 85 Vintage. Aside from this, the usual paneling and construction of the Club C remain untouched. White Mountaineering applies different materials for each colorway, covering the White pair in patent leather and the Black pair in nubuck. Branding for the Japanese brand is located on the midfoot window and the lateral heel, while Reebok finds a home on the tongue tag and heel tab. All of this rests above a white rubber midsole and outsole.
The White Mountaineering x Reebok Club C 85 Vintage Pack will release tomorrow, October 5, 2024, through White Mountaineering and Reebok Japan online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150 for both colorways.
