In 2011, Alex Lopez started a Tumblr page that eventually morphed into the French streetwear brand YOUTH OF PARIS. While the brand isn’t fully mainstream, adidas has teamed up with Alex and his brand to put their dark and neon graphic designs on the upcoming YOUTH OF PARIS x adidas Campus 80s.
This Campus 80 dons a black denim in place of the standard leather across the upper. Save for a few hits of neon purple and green, the rest of the silhouette comes in dark shades of grey and black. The purple hits come along the eyelet and heel with a DIY look of embroidery. Sitting on the tongue is the YOUTH OF PARIS logo decked out in neon graffiti.
Across the toe box and mid foot, black threads are embroidered in a seemingly random pattern, adding to YOUTH OF PARIS’ aesthetic. Below the embroidery sits the Three Stripes branding in a grey textile material. On the black leather heel tab, the adidas Trefoil logo is present alongside an over stitched pattern, partially covering up the branding. Below all of this, the black rubber midsole is paired to a matching outsole. Tying the collaboration together is the special box which features dark hooded figures printed all over.
The YOUTH OF PARIS x adidas Campus 80s is set to release January 28th, 2022 exclusively through youthofparis.com. Following the initial release in 2022, the pair will restock alongside a brand new colorway on May 2nd, 2023. Coming in mens sizing, a retail price is yet to be announced. Keep it locked to our Twitter and Mobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
