The worlds of anime and sneakers collide once more as the iconic Japanese franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and adidas team up again for a kid-exclusive release. Following the success of their ADI2000 collaboration, the duo strikes back, aiming to make an even more significant impact on the sneaker universe.
The newest addition to the collaborative lineup is the kids-only version of the adidas Superstar, dubbed the "Winged Dragon Of Ra." Paying homage to one of the legendary divine beasts from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, the sneaker sports a premium leather upper, with the traditional rubber shell toe taking on a striking metallic gold finish. This gold colorway extends to the adidas Three Stripes on the midfoot and is also on the Yu-Gi-Oh! branded lace dubrae. A graphic representation of the Winged Dragon of Ra takes center stage on the lateral midfoot. Meanwhile, the tongue tags are divided between depictions of Marik, Ra's former owner, on the right shoe and the classic adidas Trefoil logo on the left. The design is completed by a clean, white midsole and outsole, perfect for maintaining balance and aesthetics.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! x adidas Superstar Winged Dragon Of Ra (GS) released June 29 through select retailers, while a global launch through adidas will take place later. Available exclusively in GS sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
