As the world gears up for the Summer 2024 Olympics, skateboarding enthusiasts are particularly excited about the sport's inclusion for the second consecutive time. Yuto Horigome, who clinched a gold medal in skateboarding during the 2020 Olympics, has become a notable figure in the sport, for his prowess on the skateboard and his collaborations with Nike SB. Following the success of his debut SB Dunk Low, Yuto is set to introduce a new colorway in 2025.
Yuto Horigome's latest Nike SB Dunk Low features an intriguing palette of greens and tans. The suede overlays on the upper sport a deeper green with a subtle speckle pattern, adding a touch of organic texture reminiscent of asparagus spears. This darker shade contrasts with a lighter, tannish green used on the toe and midfoot areas, giving the sneaker a fresh and vibrant look.
The design is further enhanced with Yuto's signature logo on the lateral heel and his name embroidered on the tongue tag, affirming the personal touch and collaboration. Additional detailing includes a woodgrain pattern on the collar and a sesame and gold accent on the heel tab. A crisp white midsole with tan stitching and a matching green rubber outsole complete the design, ensuring that the sneaker is as functional on the skateboard as stylish.
The Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Dunk Low Asparagus will release April 5, 2025, via Nike SNKRS. Select Nike SB retailers should release the pair right before the global launch. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $135. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay informed on this release and the latest happenings in the sneaker and streetwear world.
