Thematic releases aren’t as common from adidas Basketball, but Halloween is usually the exception. In the last few years, athletes like James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, and Damian Lillard have had their signature silhouettes appear in spooky Halloween colorways. For 2025, Harden will continue this trend on the Harden Vol. 9 as it is covered in Green Snakeskin.
The entire sneaker is dipped in a solar slime green and retains the neoprene bootie, leather, and mesh construction seen on previous colorways. The overlay from the toebox back to the heel, creating the adidas Three Stripes logo via a mesh cut out on the midfoot, features a faux snakeskin print atop its metallic finish. These black hues help contrast the solar slime hues found on the laces, neoprene bootie, and faux carbon fiber heel tab, the latter playing host to a debossed Harden logo.
Inside, adidas packs the performance basketball model with Lightstrike and Lightboost, providing zonal support for 48 minutes on the court. Thanks to the solar slime rubber outsole, these foam cushions are contained, which wraps up on portions of the side wall and back on the heel, the latter featuring a black Three Stripes logo.
The adidas Harden Vol. 9 Green Snakeskin will release on October 31, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $160.
