High fashion’s fusion with street and sportswear began long before the recent trend of spamming “insert French fashion house here” and one of the many sportswear brands on the planet. One of the earliest examples was when Jeremy Scott teamed up with adidas in 2003, launching 100 pairs of adidas Forum Highs. Still, his later collaborations in the late 2000s and early 2010s became most iconic.
The wings-laden adidas Forums and subsequent stuffed animal sneakers have become cult classics and were worn by virtually every celebrity during its initial release. After revisiting the partnership in 2022 and 2023, they’re tasking Scott with creating footwear and apparel for Pride Month 2025.

Pictured here is Jeremy Scott's take on the adidas Taekwondo Mei, the low-top silhouette that has leaned heavily into the balletcore trend pervasive in women's fashion. Instead of maintaining its sleek low-top construction, adidas and Jeremy have remade the sneaker entirely, removing the upper's original construction in favor of an ultra-long sock attached to the tooling of the Taekwondo. This simple sock attached to a thin rubber sole immediately compares to Kanye West's (who now goes by Ye) Yeezy Pod Sock Shoe or the Balenciaga Sock Shoe.
While the two aforementioned examples of sock shoes remained minimal in branding, Jeremy Scott made the Three Stripes connection obvious by extending the brand’s logo across the lateral side of the sock. Underfoot, a thin rubber sole unit in a black hue provides protection and traction.
The Jeremy Scott x adidas Taekwondo Mei Pride Month will release in June 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $130.
