New Balance is entering 2025 off another record-shattering year for business as the company reached $7.8 billion in sales in 2024, up 20% from 2023. Much of their success has come from introducing new silhouettes that lean perfectly into market trends, like the 9060, which has become one of the most popular sneakers for NB. Hoping to capture the same energy the chunky model brought to the brand, the new year will see various new sneakers hit the market, including the New Balance 2010.
Unlike the Abzorb 2000, which plays heavily into the viz-tech and Y2K trend, the New Balance 2010 is NB’s attempt at creating a new “premium classic.” The 99X-inspired design has already been spotted in the Black Ice and Brown Olive Black colorways and potential Kith collabs but has now appeared in a Black Brown version. Premium suede panels on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel adopt a deep black hue, contrasting with the brown synthetic textured panels along the toe and collar.

A wide-spaced black mesh sits on the base, while more brown accents are spotted on the N logo on the midfoot, the lace set on the tongue, and the top of the tongue tag. Minor hits of a muted yellow appear on the NB logo along the tongue and heel tab and the inside lining of the midfoot N logo. The tonal brown foam midsole finishes the sneaker with ABZORB pods in the heel paired with a black and yellow rubber outsole.
The New Balance 2010 Black will release sometime in 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
