The Nike Dunk Low may not be the sneaker of choice for the hardwood floor today, but its history is deeply rooted in basketball. While the original BTTYS Pack focused on collegiate athletic programs, plenty of releases today can nod to various sports teams as Nike continues to flood the market with the model.
Now, one day after the New York Knicks broke their playoff series losing streak by securing a spot in the second round of the NBA playoffs for the first time in 10 years, images of a grade school-exclusive Nike Dunk Low in the team's colors have emerged. Perfectly representing the New York Knicks team colors, this Dunk Low features a white leather on its base and blue tumbled leather on its overlays. Contrasting this clean look are hits of bright orange on the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue branding. This combination of blue, white, and orange creates a striking visual that captures the essence of the legendary NBA team. Underfoot sits a white rubber midsole with tonal white stitching details and a blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Knicks GS is set to release in Fall 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
