After the success of the Mars Yard series, designer Tom Sachs and the NikeCraft label are back with a new venture. Previewed in early 2022, the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS) debuted in June 2022. More colorways followed before the line was halted following allegations that put the collaboration on indefinite hold. The partnership resumed in September 2024, and a re-release of the original GPS marked the first footwear drop in years.

Labeled as a go-to sneaker for everything, the TS x NikeCraft GPS is designed to work with all activities in life. While the Mars Yard Collection was made for space, the GPS Collection is for Earth. Nicknamed The Studio edition, this pair draws inspiration from Sachs’ studio, where “the magic happens,” as they say.

Featuring a durable, breathable, light cream-based upper with light bone suede overlays throughout the upper. A white Swoosh dresses the sides, while game royal accents are found via the tongue and back heel pull tabs. A three-piece molded cupsole rounds things out.

The Tom Sachs x NikeCraft GPS The Studio was originally released on June 10th, 2022, via raffle on Tom Sachs' site, and according to Tom Sachs, the shoe will continuously restock. That's right, the Tom Sachs GPS shoes are "perennial," so don't go paying resale. They restocked for the first time on August 5 and then again on December 2. After a hiatus, they returned on February 27, 2025, and are slated to drop again in Holiday 2025. Coming in unisex sizing, retail is set at $110.
