Retro revivals have been a consistent part of Nike’s yearly strategy, as each year, we see a silhouette return from the dead. For 2025, Nike planned to bring back Charles Barkley’s legendary Nike Air CB 34, his third signature sneaker model inspired by Godzilla’s feet and claws. Set for its first retro run since the mid-2010s, the Triple White colorway was planned to kick off the comeback. However, Nike has scrapped their plans, and the CB 34 will no longer be released.
Retaining the same SKU as the 2016 release, which indicates it should come with the same materials and look, this Triple White colorway douses the entire sneaker in a single white shade. Leather details are present along the mudguard and midfoot panel, while the base layer comes with perforated leather. More hits of white land on the mesh tongue, lace set, lockdown strap, and along the CB 34-branded window on the tongue tag.

Like other Charles Barkley sneakers, the heel features a nylon pull tab attached to the leather heel tab that contains tonal Nike Air embroidery. Underfoot, the foam midsole, inspired by Godzilla, takes on a white foam finish and features a Max Air unit in the heel. Finishing the design is the tonal rubber outsole that contains Chuck’s nickname, Sir Charles, split between the left and right shoe.
The Nike Air CB 34 Triple White was initially set to release in Fall 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. However, Nike has canceled the release of the pair. This doesn’t rule out a release later in the future, but the pair is not releasing as of now.
