Y2K-era basketball sneakers still have a chokehold on sneaker culture, especially for Nike models. 2024 marked the return of a cult classic in The Swoosh’s archives, the Air Flightposite, a staple on the court for legendary players like Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Jason Kidd. The latter of the three will have his PE pair finally hit shelves decades removed from his time rocking the model on the court.
Joining the Holiday 2025 lineup alongside an all-new Baroque Brown colorway, Jason Kidd’s Air Flightposite is returning with slight changes to the original. While these changes haven’t been apparent, the pair is virtually identical to the PE, featuring a Foamposite-laden upper in an eggplant-esque iridescent finish. Neoprene sections across the forefoot and around the collar add cushion to the upper, hiding the tongue and lacing system below a zipper shroud.

The original pair came with Kidd’s number 32 embroidered atop the tongue in orange, though it’s unknown if this release will feature this detail. Helping complete the upper is the cut-out Nike Swoosh on the lateral side, a white Swoosh on the heel tab, and orange and black hues on the pull tab on the heel. Down below, the sneaker has a black outsole and a carbon fiber midfoot shank.
The Nike Air Flightposite Jason Kidd will release Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $240.
