Paris Fashion Week always presents us with fusions in the worlds of luxury and sportswear, with Comme des Garçons x Nike a highlight of the event. While Comme des Garçons Homme previewed its take on the archival Air Rejuven8 in a White and a Black colorway and will soon release the Nike Sense 96 SP, the label previewed another archival design during this year’s PFW. Now, the Japanese fashion house is tackling the gridiron-ready Nike Field General.
Previously, Black Comme des Garçons worked with Nike on the silhouette for the Black and Pink MARKET MARKET pop-up shop in Japan, adding warped text in white across the black sneaker. It seems this work has inspired their next Field General project, as a similar warped design is applied to the graphic pattern printed atop the black leather silhouette. Here, branding for Black Comme des Garçons and a Nike Swoosh are sporadically placed in a warped appearance all over the upper and sole unit.

Black leather constructs the entire upper, contrasted by the graphic pattern and white Nike text on the woven tongue label and the heel tab. Inside sits a traditional Black Comme des Garçons logo on the insole, coated in a white hue. Finishing the design is the black rubber midsole and outsole, which, as mentioned previously, contain the graphic pattern seen on the upper.
The Black Comme des Garçons x Nike Field General W will release in Fall 2025 through Dover Street Market and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, retail is set at $100.
