Generating massive buzz in the streetwear and fashion world, A-COLD-WALL, founded by ex-Yeezy designer Samuel Ross, has continued to release eclectic inline collections while still lending its hand to various brands in the space. A frequent collaborator, Converse, last worked with the London-based label on introducing the brand's Sponge Crater CX, though their efforts aren’t stopping there. Revealed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, the founder of fragment design, is an upcoming two-pack of A-COLD-WALL x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 70s.
Spotted in Cream and Black, the standard shape of the storied silhouette remains with added features like a translucent toecap and midsole alongside the in-you-face branding ACW is known for. Tonal stitching details work throughout the upper with metallic eyestays hosting more tonal shades that match each respective pair, though the tongue upon which these laces rest is inverted in color and reveals internal stitching details. Back along the collar, a square patch hosts “ACW” branding while just below large font spells out the brand with a series of numbers and the year of this pair's releases, 2022. Contrasting the rest of the upper, the heel’s pull tab comes in an opposite shade for each pair while the entire design is rounded out by the aforementioned translucent rubber midsole and outsole.
On top of these two Chuck Taylor's, an apparel capsule featuring a cream colored T-Shirt and Shorts with minimalistic co-branding details present thanks to a grey rectangle that runs across each piece. An oversized fit and avant-garde design details help make the shirt stand out while the French Terry construction on the shorts gives them a premium, high end feel.
The A-COLD-WALL x Converse Collection, including the Chuck Taylor All-Star 70 in Cream and Black is set to release on October 6th, 2022 through Nike SNKRS with a release through ACW, Converse, and select retailers coming in the near future. Releasing in men's sizing, the retail price for the Chuck Taylor is set at $110 while the shirt and shorts will be $60 and $80 respectively.
