Converse in 1917 provided us with one of the most versatile silhouettes ever produced, the Converse All-Star. While they continue to produce the model in an updated fashion, the company as a whole is looking into the future with the help of Samuel Ross and his label A-Cold-Wall. After introducing the Converse Aeon Active CX last year, the silhouette gets the proper ACW treatment.
The laceless mesh upper comes covered in a light grey with accenting ACW details coming in black. Although the upper seems to be monochromatic, piping surrounding the various overlays and underlays appear in a silver 3M. Plastered along the midfoot near the orange sock liner is text akin to Off-White’s famous Helvetica print, A-Cold-Wall as well as a style code and date in black. Further hits of ACW make their way onto the black pull tab and near the toe portion of the midsole with the famous ACW bracket logo covered in a highlighter yellow. Speaking of the midsole, the usual CX foam underfoot gets replaced by a green Crater Foam that is synonymous with Nike Space Hippie silhouettes. Rounding out the look is a grey semi-translucent rubber outsole.
Alongside the grey colorway, a majority black look is also on the table. Details and branding remain the same, however, the mesh upper comes in all-black with an accenting neon yellow sock liner and two-tone white midsole and tri-toned black, white, and neon yellow outsole.
The A-Cold-Wall x Converse Aeon Active CX Micro Chip Healing Jade is set to release in April 2022 followed by the "Black Apple Green" pair in May through Converse, ACW, and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, sizing and pricing is not available.
