While in the past working with adidas and notoriously never seen rocking products from Nike/Jordan Brand, Action Bronson is just days away from launching his debut collaboration with New Balance. Included in the “Baklava x New Balance” capsule are sets of clothing, accessories, and most notably a collaborative New Balance 990v6. While this pair has been teased for nearly a year at this point, we saw Bronsolino rocking a “Blue” version of the sneaker when he announced the clothing portion of the collection and now has showcased another colorway - “Grey Volt Green.”
Continuing the themes seen in his entire collection with New Balance, Action Bronson’s third take on the New Balance 990v6 features the same high-quality Made In USA construction with neutral shades contrasting bright volt green hits. Around the base layer, we see a grey mesh with light green and bright green suede overlays appearing near the toebox and vamp. For its other panels, we see silver-like shades and blue hues take over while bright purple laces pierce off the grey tongue. Branding details remain as seen on his other two renditions with Baklava co-branding present on the tongue and a large 3M reflective “N” logo on the midfoot. Rounding out the design is a volt green midsole paired with a multi-color rubber outsole.
The Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 Grey Volt is expected to launch alongside the entire Baklava x New Balance collection on March 17th, 2023 through specializinginlife.com while a wider release may go down later in 2023. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is currently TBA.
