New Balance’s Made in USA Spring/Summer 2025 lineup was unveiled last month, showcasing Teddy Santis’ creative direction for the brand throughout the year's first half. Included in this were multiple colorways of the 990v6, which is the highlight silhouette alongside the recently revived 992. Joining the Avocado Natural Mint v6 will be a classic White Sea Salt colorway.
The color palette is decidedly New Balance as we see clean uses of white, cream, and light grey across the pigskin suede, leather, mesh, and perforated nubuck upper. Light grey hits the suede mudguard, contrasting the stark white hues of the leather panels on the midfoot and heel. More hits of white are found on the lace set, mesh base, tongue, and leather eyelets. Toebox overlays, a key feature on all 99X models, contrast the other colors with its cream-perforated nubuck finish.

Branding details remain standard for a 990v6: the tongue contains New Balance 990v6 logos in metallic silver, the lateral heel gets stamped with 990, and the midfoot hosts a large N logo. The design features a white and cream foam midsole featuring FuelCell cushioning and a black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 990v6 Made in USA White Sea Salt will release on April 10, 2025, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $200.
