adidas has faced some criticism in recent years for a perceived lack of innovation, especially following the departure of Yeezy. However, the brand has been making strides by revisiting its late '90s and early 2000s era for inspiration. The result is the IIInfinity series, which takes design cues from adidas' signature line with Kobe Bryant. This series has already introduced traditional footwear models like the Crazy IIInfinity, Mad IIInfinity, and Crazy IIInfinity 130. adidas is expanding this line with the adiFOM IIInfinity Slide, bringing a unique mule style form to the collection.
Drawing heavily from the adidas Kobe 2, one of the brand's most polarizing silhouettes, the new mule features a textured foam construction, offering a sleek yet robust design. Debossed Three Stripes adorn the toe, while the midfoot cut-out provides branding and breathability. Underfoot, the slide sports a foam outsole with a circular traction pattern for enhanced grip. This slip-on footwear is presented in eight different colorways, each set to launch throughout 2024. The variety of hues ensures a style to suit every preference, making the adiFOM IIInfinity Mule a versatile addition to adidas' innovative lineup.
The adidas adiFOM IIInfinity Slide will release throughout 2024, with the Team Victory Red pair kicking things off on November 9. They will be available through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $50.
