The adidas Adilette slide has been the footwear choice for soccer stars, casual beachgoers, and the everyday consumer for quite some time. Though the design of the silhouette has remained contemporary, adidas is imagining what its slides would look like in space for its 2022 rendition. Inspired by human expeditions to Mars, the adidas Adilette Slide 2022 is bringing the future to the present day.
adidas already has five colorways in the pipeline with three planned to launch soon, "Halo Ivory/Tech Emerald," "Tan," and a swirl pattern merging both of these colorways. With futuristic design details, such as using 3D printing technology and constructing them out of natural and renewable materials, the slide appears like a topographical map with raised details jetting out from the side. The contoured footbed and soft rubber outsole offer instant comfort when on foot. On the lateral heel, a Trefoil logo and text reading “The Brand With The Three Stripes” is placed in black. Rounding out the look is the outsole with the same groove pattern as the upper alongside mapped holes to allow the rubber to expand when walking.
The adidas Adilette Slide 2022 is set to debut on June 23rd, 2022 in two colorways, Halo Ivory and Tan, both of which will be released through adidas Confirmed and select Three Stripes retailers online and in-store.
