NBA star Anthony Edwards continues to make waves both on and off the court, especially with launching his first signature sneaker with adidas, the adidas AE 1. The silhouette has already appeared in various colorways, including the debut With Love rendition, and has been teased in its New Wave, Deep Blue, and Metallic Burgundy iterations. The latest addition to this impressive lineup is the AE 1 in a vibrant Georgia Red Clay colorway, inspired by the iconic red dirt found throughout Georgia.
The adidas AE 1 Georgia Red Clay maintains a distinctive design, featuring a TPU midfoot overlay adorned with intricate honeycomb-like perforations. This design adds a layer of texture and depth to the overall design while serving a technical purpose. Below this TPU panel is Primeblue knit, showcasing a slightly different coral shade that provides a subtle contrast.
Additionally, the carbon fiber plate on the heel tab introduces another variation of red, creating a harmonious color palette. The sneaker's branding elements are thoughtfully executed, with adidas branding and Anthony Edwards' logo in sleek black, standing out against the pinkish-red backdrop. Everything is completed with a tonally matched midsole and outsole, which house a JET BOOST cushioning system.
The adidas AE 1 Georgia Red Clay will release April 4, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
