Anthony Edwards has rapidly become a significant name in basketball and sneaker culture with the launch of his signature adidas shoe, the AE 1. Since its initial release in December, the high demand for various iterations of this model has remained the same. With fans eagerly anticipating new versions of the mid-cut silhouette, including the upcoming MX Charcoal, MX Fuschia, Preloved Purple, and Bred colorways, adidas is set to expand the lineup with the AE 1 Low. Following the Mural and MX Red colorways' successful introductions, the low-top model has emerged in an Ascent makeover.
Featuring a Primeblue knit upper in black, the adidas AE 1 Low Ascent houses a TPU midfoot panel adorned with a distinctive honeycomb structure. This panel captures attention with its swirled, marbled grey pattern. Grey accents also enhance the toecap and the iconic Three Stripes logo on the faux carbon fiber heel counter, maintaining the sneaker's sleek and modern aesthetic. More branding is found via the tongue, with Anthony Edwards’ logo also getting a grey finish. Underfoot sees a new cushioning setup and design with Light Boost utilized throughout, unlike the Lightstrike and Jet Boost found in the OG mid-cut. This cushioning system is encapsulated within the marbled grey rubber outsole.
The adidas AE 1 Low Ascent will release on July 20, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $110.
