A three-shoe collection from adidas featuring the Campus 00s is set to arrive just in time for the festive season. This pack features Cordura Advanced Fabrics, which provides weather-resistant properties when needed most.
Being an ever-present since it was first launched back in the 1970s, the Campus model has often been overlooked and criminally underrated. Originally dubbed Tournament, the rename to Campus in the 1980s came at a time when brands were making big pushes to capture the teenage market, particularly college students who had allegiances to their school and their sports teams. In the modern era, the adidas inline team has diversified the model, with Campus OG, Campus 80s, and Campus 00s currently being produced, each with slight variants to the design.
The Campus 00s is a bulked-up iteration featuring chunky aesthetic, thick stripes and soles, wide laces, and a hefty tongue. A particular favorite of skaters, the fresh take on the model and the adidas Originals rebrand in 2023 has stoked new life and brought fresh vigor to the shoe.
Adorned in tonal colorways, the muted appearance across the pack is very seasonal. One pair is daubed in Core Black, another carries Preloved Brown tones, and the final version is finished in Olive Strata hues. Each pair features the same blend of materials and configurations.
The upper base consists of Cordura fabrics, an air-jet textured filament fiber that is super durable and hard-wearing. Soft, smooth suede is also utilized, appearing at the heel, tongue, lace stay, toe area, and for the Three Stripes branding along the side. Trefoil logos are visible on the chunky tongue and the back heel tabs.
Gold foil denotes the Campus moniker along the midfoot, with a Cordura tag attached to the heel tab on the lateral. Underfoot, all three pairs have gum-colored rubber soles, providing increased traction and grip.
The adidas Campus 00s Cordua in Core Black, Preloved Brown, and Olive Strata are set to release on December 1, 2024, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store.
