adidas has been redefining the fashion scene with its Y2K aesthetic, particularly with the introduction of the Campus 00s in 2023. This modern iteration of the classic adidas Campus silhouette has been a standout, thanks to its chunky, retro-inspired design. adidas is set to release the adidas Campus 00s in a colorway that draws inspiration from the serene and meticulously crafted Japanese rock gardens.
Japanese rock gardens, known for their intricate patterns and peaceful ambiance, come to life on the adidas Campus 00s. It features a luxurious green suede upper, which serves as a nod to the lushness of Japanese gardens. The design intricacies are further elevated by a wavy linear pattern debossed into the suede on the lateral heel and midfoot areas, reminiscent of the raked sand patterns in traditional rock gardens.
This theme of tranquility and precision is carried over to the white leather Three Stripes on the side, where the stitching details mimic the same wavy pattern. The sneaker's medial side continued this theme, with more wavy patterns presented through stitching on the heel and debossed detailing just below the eyestays. Anchoring the design is a chunky gum rubber sole unit, adding durability and a timeless aesthetic to the sneaker.
The adidas Campus 00s Japanese Rock Garden will release in March 2024 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, sizing and pricing information has yet to be confirmed.
