One of the faces of the NBA, his clutch play and performances, coupled with one of the greatest athlete taglines of all time, Dame Time, have made Lillard a cultural superstar. He entered the 2012 NBA Draft and was selected 6th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers. In 2014, he signed a deal with The Brand With The Three Stripes, which has just surpassed its tenth anniversary. Along with the recent news about the upcoming Dame 10 model scheduled to launch in Summer 2025, there is no end to this partnership, which has impacted community and athletic levels. Lillard's strong connection with fans and adidas' innovative designs have helped the line resonate deeply with consumers, making it one of the most successful collaborations in recent years.
Distinctive color blocking appears on the adidas Dame 9 Bucks, with the internal bootie adorned in purple. Collegiate Green wraps around the upper edge, with the rest of the sneaker encased in white leather, which gives the shoe its signature look. Lillards signature D motif appears on the tongue, with a small EQT logo on the toe area. More dual branding comes into play via the insoles. Underfoot, a creamy translucent rubber outsole is fitted for extra traction and grip, with the signature D underneath in purple.
The adidas Dame 9 Bucks is set to release on October 22, 2024, at adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $130.
