adidas is continuing the rollout of one of their most historic silhouettes, the Jabbar Low, in a festive color scheme, utilizing a suede upper for the first time by the inline adidas team on this round of reissues. After releasing the Hi and Low pairs in their original Off White and Collegiate Royal leather design, we saw atmos present a collaborative take on a Jabbar Low in suede. More Hi and Low all-leather pairs, including an Off White Dark Green iteration, followed this special edition release.
The adidas Jabbar Low Team Power Red is an eye-catching addition to the current rollout, perfectly encapsulating a retro-inspired aesthetic. Its upper is constructed from rich red suede, which lends the shoe a bold and luxurious feel. The choice of suede adds subtle texture and depth, switching it up from the usual primary material choice, while the color captures this in a way only bright hues can. A striking contrast comes from the cream-white leather used for the tongue, the iconic Three Stripes branding on the sides, and the heel tab, adding a clean, balanced visual appeal. With the man himself featured, thoughtful gold accents pay homage to basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the tongue, with his signature and graphic visible, giving the shoe a personal and distinguished touch. The heel tab also displays a gold foil Trefoil logo, tying together the high-quality, heritage-inspired design. Underfoot, the classic look is completed with a cream-white rubber sole equipped for extra traction and grip, providing a high level of comfort while maintaining durability.
The adidas Jabbar Low Team Power Red is set to release on December 5, 2024, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is $110.
