The adidas Spezial (SPZL) line, under the guidance of adidas archivist and SPZL founder Gary Aspden, has become a beacon of refined taste in the world of sportswear. Known for its dedication to the brand's rich heritage while infusing modern sensibilities, the SPZL collection has garnered a dedicated following. This November, the Autumn/Winter 2023 collection is set to release, continuing its tradition of blending vintage aesthetics with contemporary style and functionality.

The footwear segment of this collection showcases seven unique silhouettes, each with its distinct story and inspiration. Among the highlights is the Moscrop 2 SPZL, a light grey update to the 2022 Moscrop SPZL, featuring improved upper paneling and a split Dellinger web design inspired by the Argentinian adidas Infinity. The collection also sees the return of the winter-ready Hiaven SPZL, now presented in a sleek monochromatic black palette, complete with an adi-Tex membrane for elemental protection. The Samba Deco SPZL, inspired by a 1970s Eastern European training shoe, arrives in two colorways – a black and green nod to a 1980s football boot and a brown and white version harking back to the 1970s Trainer. Other notable entries include the outdoor-leisure hybrid Inverness SPZL, the court-inspired Englewood SPZL, and the Lawkholme SPZL, an elegant reinterpretation of 80s running shoe aesthetics.

The apparel and accessories in this collection focus on recycled fabrics and meticulous craftsmanship. The iconic Haslingden Jacket and the Moorfield Anorak are the standout outerwear pieces featuring color and design updates. The versatile Topfield liner, embellished with embroidered Mod Trefoil branding, complements these jackets perfectly. The collection also includes the Sudell TT and TP tracksuit, t-shirts, polos, crewnecks, and hoodies, offering a plethora of layering options. Rounding off the accessories are the 'box logo' Beanie and the Chilcott Hat, a fleece-lined cap with foldable flaps.
