The legacy of NBA legend Tracy McGrady lives on through adidas' impressive lineup of signature sneakers. As one of the most memorable moments in McGrady's career, the astounding 13 points scored in just 33 seconds during a 2004 game against the San Antonio Spurs is now immortalized in a new adidas T-Mac 5 colorway — aptly named the adidas T-Mac 5 “13 in 33.”
Retaining its classic construction, this T-Mac 5 uses a black and silver color scheme with metallic silver hits landing on the toe, midfoot, collar, heel, and tongue tag. Accenting this, we see black patent leather along the portion of the strap near the toe and on the nubuck sheath across the forefoot. Above this, a “13 in 33” branded tongue tag nods to the insane moment in NBA history when McGrady dropped 13 points in just 33 seconds. More branding for T-Mac is found with his nickname placed in black on the medial midfoot and buckle of the lockdown strap. McGrady’s logo is debossed into the leather collar and placed on the black rubber outsole. Rounding out the design is the silver and black rubber midsole.
The adidas T-Mac 5 13 in 33 is set to release in 2023 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
