After Ye introduced the world to the adidas Yeezy 450 through the “Cloud White” colorway, die-hard Yeezy enthusiasts were ready for more. While we’ve seen plenty of samples mix things up with MX swirls in the sole and two-tone looks, all we’ve received for retail releases have been monochromatic looks. This trend is once again continuing, this time on the adidas Yeezy 450 “Utility Black.”
Strikingly similar to the previously released “Dark Slate,” the latest 450 colorway partakes in a deeper all-black look from top to bottom. Up top, a double layer primeknit forms the sock-like silhouette with eyelets protruding from the knit itself, providing a home for the tonal rope laces. Around the collar, a looser knit allows you to stretch the material and get your foot secured within. Unlike the “Dark Slate” 450, the heel forgoes an accenting colored knit, this time keeping things all-black. Wrapping up to form the midsole is a claw-like 3D-printed foam exoskeleton cage, providing stable comfort when worn on foot. Rounding out the look is the rubber outsole with wavy traction pattern finishing the monochromatic black look.
The adidas Yeezy 450 Utility Black is set to release on Yeezy Day 2022, August 2nd in the US and August 3rd in the EU and Asia. Although this is dropping on this coveted days of restocks and releases, retailers worldwide will hold this release as well as Yeezy Supply and adidas Confirmed. Dropping in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $210. To stay up to date on all-things Yeezy and more, keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
