While the last few years of Yeezy sneakers have begun to venture into a more colorful palette, the brand still relies on its famous earth-tone colors for many of its silhouettes. The adidas Yeezy 500 has stuck true to this color scheme over most of its releases, including the upcoming adidas Yeezy 500 “Granite.”
Constructed out of a mix of leather, mesh, and suede, the Yeezy 500 merges organic shapes with retro designs. A large suede toebox sits atop the mesh base with leather overlays accenting both, all of which come in a mix of dark and light earth-tone looks. Running alongside the tongue are multiple oval shaped eyelet stays that house a set of tonal laces to match the upper. As you work across the midfoot, you’ll notice a combo of suede and leather overlays surrounding multiple mesh panels. Rounding out the entire look is the retro adiPrene cushioned midsole and rubber outsole in a greyish hue, borrowed from the adidas Crazy II.
The adidas Yeezy 500 Granite is set to release in May of 2022 through adidas CONFIRMED, adidas.com/yeezy, Yeezy Supply, and select Yeezy retailers worldwide online and instore.
