Back in 2015, Ye and his initial offerings from the adidas Yeezy line took the world by storm through his purported “Roshe Run killer,” the Yeezy Boost 350. After only four releases, the 350 evolved and became the 350 V2, staying that way since 2016. Fast forward to 2022, restock after restock has filled the release calendar. Now, it has been confirmed that the original adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Turtledove restocking for Yeezy Day.
Though sharing similarities to the 350 V2, the construction of the silhouette comes a tad toned down. A thinner primeknit upper is utilized with the iconic two-tone grey base and black accenting pattern running from heel to toe. Thick rope laces weave in and out of the upper, coming in a similar two-tone design as the rest. Back on the heel, the fan favorite pull-tab makes an appearance in white with accenting red stitching running across the center.
Internally, the padding on the original pair was very light compared to the 350 V2 (though the 2016 Yeezy 350 Pirate Black did feature improved padding). We’ll have to wait and see if any upgrades will make the 2022 version. Rounding out the look, a white hard rubber midsole and outsole encapsulate a full-length Boost cushioning system.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Turtledove is set to restock for Yeezy Day 2022 on August 2nd in the US and August 3rd in the EU and Asia. Expect the drop to take place on adidas CONFIRMED or on Yeezy Supply. Releasing in men's sizing, the rerelease of the Yeezy 350 Turtledove will also be made available in half sizes for the first time. Unlike the OG Turtledoves, the retail price will be increased from its original price tag of $200 and now be $230.
