adidas may have cut tie with Ye and his Yeezy brand. However, we’ll all have another shot to secure the all-black adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Onyx” that was originally released back in June 2022.
Covered entirely in a Primeknit pattern reminiscent of the “Zyon” and “Israfil” colorways, the sneaker carries with it an all-black appearance from head to toe. Along the lateral side, an opaque TPU stripe runs from the heels nylon pull-tab down to the toe, also hosting the eyestays for the black rope laces. Frankenstein stitching runs down the spine of this one-piece knit, stopping just below the black collar and sockliner. On the medial side of the sneaker, and unlike most 350 V2 colorways, a thinner knit portion is present that makes this particular colorway fit much looser when compared to more recent releases. Underfoot, the semi-translucent ribbed rubber midsole encapsulates a full-length Boost cushioning system while the outsole below gets the same treatment alongside cutouts to the aforementioned Boost.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Onyx will release alongside a slew of Yeezy sneakers on May 31. Expect the drop to go down on either adidas Confirmed or adidas.com/yeezy. Coming in in full-family sizing, the retail price is set at $230 for mens, $160 for kids, and $140 for infants.
