Sneakerheads almost universally agree, a “Triple Black” adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is a must have in your collection. Garnering crazy resale prices, the original adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” from 2015 and the 350 V2 “Static Black” from 2019 have been sought after by many. Since 2019, we have seen a triple black 350 V2 release every year in some form, even changing the Primeknit upper for a monofilament one. For 2022 it looks like this trend will continue with the recently revealed adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Onyx.”
Coming in an all too familiar black Primeknit upper, the “Onyx” colorway features the Static pattern seen across the board on a majority of adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2s. Black rope laces weave in and out of the upper, placed above the TPU stripe running down the lateral side of the silhouette. Fans of the pull-tab will be happy to see it is returning, coming in the aforementioned “Onyx” color matching the rest of the sneaker. A black semi-translucent ribbed rubber midsole holds full-length BOOST cushioning. To round out the stealth black look is a rubber outsole with cutouts to the BOOST above. While looking similar to the previously released Yeezy 350 V2 “Cinder,” the “Onyx” will feature the adidas sustainability logo on the insole, indicating that at least 25% of the material is made of 50% recycled content.
With first looks just arriving, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Onyx is set to drop in June 2022. It will retail for the new $230 price tag given to the recent Blue Tints, they will release through the adidas Confirmed App, Yeezy Supply and select Yeezy retailers online and in-store.
