Prior to the split between adidas and Yeezy, there were plenty of releases in the pipeline that were set and ready to be produced. Following the official announcement from adidas that they will be selling portions of the remaining Yeezy inventory, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 "Tephra" — which was originally planned to restock in November 2022 — will be joining the massive release day planned for May 31.
Going back to 2019, this was a time period in which Yeezy and adidas were playing around with material usage on various models, and the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Tephra” was a part of this as neoprene was utilized as the base layer for this particular colorway. As for the rest of the sneaker, the typical materials remain with suede and leather making up the overlays and underlays throughout the multi-paneled model. Starting on the toe, grey shades cover the infamous fang-like toecap while the eyestays deviate from this shade only slightly. 3M hits are also present here with one found via the toebox itself and on the lace loop at the bottom of the white lace set. Working along the profile, more reflective overlays make up the semi-hidden nod to The Three Stripes, sitting atop a grey neoprene while suede overlays contrast this in a darker brownish-grey. Underfoot, the iconic Yeezy 700 molded foam midsole gets a dark grey finish, as does the oval drips on the heel portion, while the entire design is rounded out by a gum rubber outsole that contains the full-length Boost cushioning system.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 Tephra will release alongside a slew of Yeezy sneakers on May 31. Expect the drop to go down on either adidas Confirmed or adidas.com/yeezy. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $260. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest happenings in sneakers, streetwear, and more.
