It seems like Jay-Z predicted what Ye’s color palette of choice would be almost a decade in advance as yet another all-black Yeezy has emerged with the adidas Yeezy BSKTBL Knit"Slate Onyx."
Utilizing portions of the original Yeezy basketball model, the YZY QNTM, the silhouette comes dressed in a black 3D knit upper with hits of dark grey sprinkled throughout. Down on the toe, a 3M reflective knit is also present, working its way towards the vamp of the neoprene tongue and black rope laces. Going up the sock-like bootie, eyestays form out of the knit upper to provide extra lockdown support, also thanks to the internal padding around the heel and forefoot. Along the profile, the same knit pattern visible on the 350 V2 CMPCT runs back towards the 3M heel counter, jetting up from the midsole. Speaking of the midsole, a semi-translucent rubber encases the full-length boost cushioning system while a black rubber outsole with a herringbone traction pattern completes the look.
The adidas Yeezy BSKTBL Knit Slate Onyx is set to release on October 28th, 2022 through adidas Confirmed, adidas.com/yeezy, Yeezy Supply, and select Yeezy retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $300. For up-to-date info on the latest Yeezy drops, check out our Yeezy Release Calendar.
