While the Air Jordan 1 is highly coveted, it’s “Knock Off” counterpart has never received the same recognition. Originally released during the AJ 1s initial run from 1985-86, the AJKO features a slightly modified design, along with a canvas-based upper. These small iterations have served as the main basis for the Air Jordan 1 x Air Jordan KO debate.
As a result of this friction, each time the Air Jordan AJKO 1 has been released, it’s been sporadic, with only a few colorways dropping each time. After seeing the “Chicago” pair return in 2021 as well as a “Storm Blue” and Billie Eilish collab, the AJKO is set to return in an all-new white and orange theme. Giving off “Be True To Your School” vibes from the past, this pair sports a canvas-based upper with a leather collar. Orange pops off the overlays while white covers the rest.
The Air Jordan AJKO 1 Syracuse is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers both in-store and online. They will be available in men’s sizes with a retail price set at $140.
