For the last few years, Jordan Brand has made it clear that its mission going forward is to include more women designers/collaborators and release more women’s exclusive colorways/silhouettes under its label. Introduced to us earlier in 2022, the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low takes the iconic AJ 1 Low silhouette and adds a platform sole for the ladies, and has appeared in colorways that mimic those of the standard AJ 1 High. Now for 2023, JB is bringing back 2018s “Rookie Of The Year” on the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low.
Taking on a combo of suede and leather across the upper, standard AJ 1 details remain like the perforated toebox, Swoosh branding, and Wings logos while coming crafted in its own unique style. Suede overlays wrapping around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel come in a golden harvest shade while the tongue, leather toebox, and quarter panel receive an all-white makeover. Piercing from these two hues are black hits found via the Swoosh logo and lace set, however, the Wings logo found on the heel comes blanked out and stays in the same golden harvest shade as the heel overlay it sits upon. Underfoot, a chunky platform sole unit comes in white with a thick black rubber outsole completing the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low Rookie Of The Year W is set to release in Fall 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
