Jordan Brand Signs Zeb Powell, First Pro Snowboarder
Published
Jordan Brand has made history today by signing their first professional snowboarder, Zeb Powell. Powell joins Nigel Sylvester as two extreme sports athletes who look to usher in a new, non-basketball-related era for Michael Jordan's label.

The seeds were planted after wearing Jumpman-laden gear, including snowboards and a chain, during the January X Games knuckle huck contest and the Red Bull Heavy Metal contest. Although nothing was official then, Powell stated, "We're talking." when approached about the potential partnership via Josh Sullivan of Snowboarder. Fast forward a few months to the present. In April, Zeb made it official by posting a video on his IG page with the caption "Sliding with @jumpman23."
While official details and terms have not been disclosed, we expect Jordan Brand to make an official announcement shortly. With Powell becoming the first pro snowboarder of Jordan Brand, we expect to see a heavy presence in the winter sports circuit from JB and Powell in the future.
