Although the classic Air Jordan 1 is one of the most iconic sneakers in sneaker history, Jordan Brand has introduced many remixes to the design over the years. In recent memory, the Jumpman brought us an upgraded version of the model with more comfortable materials and cushioning, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT, and a second version of this upgrade appeared shortly after. Alongside Teyana Taylor’s take on the AJ 1 High Zoom CMFT 2, Jordan Brand will give us plenty of inline releases in 2023, including the upcoming “Cement Grey University Blue.”
Across the upper sits a combination of cement grey panels on the toebox and midfoot and university blue suede overlays on the mudguard, eyestays, collar, and heel. The grey nylon tongue adds texture to the design and is complemented by university blue laces and Zoom Air-branded tongue tag. The midfoot features a cutout in the shape of the Swoosh logo, allowing the university blue mesh to peek through. Underfoot, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 "Cement Grey University Blue" features a white midsole with Zoom Air cushioning, which replaces the standard Nike Air unit. Rounding out the design is the university blue rubber outsole with cement grey Formula 23 foam.
The Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 Cement Grey University Blue will be released in August 2023 through Nike and select retailers Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
