Regarding the Air Jordan 1, Jordan Brand has been retooling it over the past 10+ years. Aiming to get it as close to its original 1985 look as possible, the Air Jordan 1 '85 version is the most accurate. Coming in high-top and low-top, the Air Jordan 1 '85 releases still pique fans' interest even as the Air Jordan 1 OG style is still experiencing a downfall in popularity. For Spring 2025, Jordan Brand is bringing a coveted, original colorway of the AJ 1 back, converting it onto the Air Jordan 1 Low 85 for the first time.
After mostly negative views from sneakerheads, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Reimagined Royal didn't hit like Jordan Brand thought it would. This was due to the all-suede upper instead of the all-leather featured on the original. However, if you're an AJ 1 Low fan and love the Royals, JB has you covered with the Air Jordan 1 Low 85 Royal. True to the OG, this pair sports an all-leather upper comprised of black with varsity royal accents in the shape of the original AJ 1 from 1985. However, this pair will feature metallic accents via the Swoosh and back heel tab, a first for the AJ 1 Royal. An aged midsole and solid rubber outsole in royal blue complete the look.
The Air Jordan 1 Low 85 Royal was originally set to release in Spring 2025. However, it has officially been canceled. If it is released in the future, it will be available through Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, retail is set at $160.
