When it comes to kicks for the little ones, Jordan Brand and Nike pull out all the stops in regard to making the colorways stand out. More often than not you’ll find vibrant shades and additions like holographic details (a la the AJ 1 Low Hologram), really distinguishing their GS-exclusiveness. For their latest rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Low, JB takes us back to the days of playing arcade basketball with the “Hoops” colorway.
Coming dressed in a multitude of materials, like tumbled, smooth, and patent leather, the sneaker switches between neutral shades and vibrant hues. Around the mudguard and eyestays sits grey tumbled leather while the toebox and quarter panel opt for smooth white leather. Things continue to remain colorless on the mesh portion of the tongue and lace set while a lace loop in blue and an arcade basketball-laden tongue tag come in blue and grey respectively. Now we get into the more vibrant shades, like the peachy color found on the tongue's lining and accent stitching while the collar comes in volt green. Running between this collar and the blue patent leather heel tab is an orange chenille-covered Nike Swoosh on the lateral side, stopping just above the split “23” and Wings Logo on the left and right pair respectively. Rounding out the design is the sail midsole with peachy red accent stitching paired with a volt green rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Hoops (GS) is set to release in 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $95.
