While Michael Jordan's time as a majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets ended officially in August 2023, his Jordan Brand continues to support the professional sports team from North Carolina. A new Air Jordan 1 Low Hornets iteration is next, fresh for the summer.
Throughout MJ's time as majority owner of the Hornets, Jordan Brand has released numerous silhouettes in Charlotte-themed colorways, such as the Air Jordan 34, Air Jordan 10, and the Air Jordan 1. Speaking of the Air Jordan 1, the low-top iteration of Michael's first signature sneaker is the latest to get a Buzz City makeover. Coming in psychic purple, white, cone, and hyper jade colorway, this AJ 1 Low SE features an all-leather build.
Psychic Purple overlays pair nicely with the white underlays. Orange branding via the Jumpman on the tongue and insoles adds a unique touch to this pair. Hyper Jade comes into play via the Swoosh on the sides and solid rubber outsole to finish off the Hornets theme.
The Air Jordan 1 Low Hornets is set to release on July 30, 2024, at Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $125.
