The Air Jordan 1, a symbol of basketball history and streetwear culture, has undergone numerous iterations since its debut in 1985. Jordan Brand has used the model to target the women's market with a fresh, reinvented silhouette. On top of the Elevate version, we will soon be introduced to the Method of Make (MM) variant with colorways like the Royal Toe and Pure Platinum Coconut. The model will continue to receive new renditions into the new year, with Spring 2024 hosting a Legend Medium Brown colorway.
Marrying various textures and shades, the Air Jordan 1 MM High Legend Medium Brown showcases a multi-material mix, combining canvas, tumbled leather, and suede in its construction. Enlarged proportions give the sneaker a bold presence, further enhanced by the deep, earthy brown tones that dominate the design. The mudguard, parts of the eyestays, and tongue exhibit a rich, dark brown, starkly contrasting the lighter shades found on, the lower eyestays, Swoosh, collar, and heel overlays. A creamy finish graces the midfoot and collar, while the toe box displays an off-white sail hue. The classic Jordan Wings logo is featured in the dominant darker brown shade. Down below sits a sail midsole paired with a brown rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 MM High Legend Medium Brown W was originally set to release in January 2024. They have been pushed up and will now drop on December 12, 2023, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, the retail price is pegged at $155.
