Since Jordan Brand began releasing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High in “OG” form in 2013, we have seen both new and old colorways set to OG treatment. Classics like “Breds,” “Chicagos,” “Royals,” “Black Toes” and “Shadows” are always coveted each and every time they are re-released. However, some non-OG colorways have gone on to become grails as well. Some of those pairs are heaters like “fragments,” “Top 3s,” “Travis Scotts,” “Mochas,” “UNC’s” and the recently released “A Ma Maniere.”
It’s not always about collaborations, limited releases or hyped colorways either, sometimes the most generic AJ1 can become a forgotten gem after a few years, like the “Obsidians” and “Shattered Backboard 3.0s,” for example. In 2022 we will see a lot of Air Jordan 1 Retro High’s released throughout the year, as is the norm these days. Some pairs have received mixed reactions so far like the “Rebellionaire,” others are being added to people’s cop lists as soon as their release information leaks, such as the “Brotherhood” and “Dark Marina Blue” pairs.
Fresh for May, Jordan Brand is set to drop the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG in “Stage Haze.” This all-new colorway comes in white, black, grey fog and bleached coral. It Sports a white and black leather upper with grey accenting the outsole and suede back heel. The only pop of color comes via the Nike Air branding on the tongue. Is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Stage Haze” an instant cop or a future grail? Only time will tell.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Stage Haze is set to be released on July 2nd, 2022. It will launch at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers in-store and online. They will be available in men’s and gradeschool sizes. Men’s pairs will retail for $170 and GS will come in at $130.
