Regarding the Air Jordan 1, most people prefer original colorways. While some new iterations, such as the UNC Toe, Palomino, and collaborations from Travis Scott, Off-White, and Union garner hype, the classics are always a warm welcome. Even if they are re-imagined, like the Patent Bred and Royal Suede, people still have a soft spot for the colors of 1985. Next up from the original Air Jordan 1 lineup is the return of the Shadow colorway in low-top form.
The Air Jordan 1 Shadow has seen countless re-releases over the past fifteen years. High, KO High OG, High Flyknit, High OG, KO Low, Low OG are just a few versions of this OG colorway we have been treated to. For Summer 2024, the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG gets the nod to bring the black, medium grey, and white colorway back on shelves. With Lows gaining popularity, it is no surprise to see Jordan Brand bring this pair back for the first time since 2015. Staying true to the OG, this upcoming release features an all-leather upper split between black and grey. Original Nike Air branding is featured on the tongue tag and insoles, with the Wings logo on the back heel tab. A white midsole sits atop a grey solid rubber outsole, finishing out the design.
After a few delays, the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Shadow will release on May 11, 2024, through Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $140. To stay up to date on other Jordan's releasing in 2024, check out our Jordan Release Calendar and keep it locked to the Sole Retriever mobile app.
