The Air Jordan 1, in its own right, is arguably one of the greatest models ever to release in the history of sneakers. Even with its timeless design and countless colorways, sometimes Jordan Brand likes to switch things up and add new elements to the almost 40-year-old pair of kicks. Releases like the Air Jordan 1 Elevate bring platform vibes to the sneaker while a more utilitarian approach comes with the aptly named Air Jordan 1 Utility, which has just emerged in a Neutral Olive Light Steel Grey colorway.
Swapping the usual leather or suede construction, the sneaker is covered in a combo of canvas and satin-like materials that allows the sneaker to endure various weather conditions. For this “Neutral Olive Light Steel Grey” look, the former of the two shades cover the overlays while the latter is found on the base layer. The most notable changes come in the form of added stash pockets, some built into the design like the one found along the midfoot, while the heels is removable thanks to a nylon strap. Accenting the two shades, black covers the Nike Swoosh along the midfoot, the tongue, and on the Jordan Wings logo found along the collar and heel pocket. Underfoot, your standard AJ 1 midsole comes in white while the rubber outsole below gets an all-black look.
The Air Jordan 1 Utility “Neutral Olive Light Steel Grey” is set to release on October 7th, 2022 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
