Jordan Brand and Nike have been focusing heavily on the WNBA, highlighting the league's stars and creating exclusive colorways that celebrate women's basketball. Notable players such as A'ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu, and Caitlin Clark have received their own signature models, while special editions of iconic sneakers have honored the league. Last year, Jordan Brand commemorated the WNBA with a Jordan 38 colorway, and now they are continuing this trend with the Air Jordan 3. This follows up on the Air Jordan 12 Brilliant Orange, another retro J that was inspired by the WNBA.
This new Air Jordan 3 features a canvas upper adorned with a camo pattern, reminiscent of the women's Nike Dunk High Camo from 2022. The camo design incorporates various tan and brown shades, creating a visually striking yet versatile look. Atop the tongue sits a 3D sail Jumpman logo, adding a touch of classic Jordan branding. The heel showcases a black Jumpman logo on a tan heel tab, maintaining the sneaker's cohesive aesthetic. Inside, the WNBA's logo in orange pops against the white insole, further emphasizing the collaboration. The design is rounded out with a sail rubber midsole and a semi-translucent gum rubber outsole, featuring sail and orange accents for added flair and functionality.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro TEX Dark Driftwood W will release on July 19, 2024, through Nike SNKRS and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women's sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
