Along with the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Winterized,” the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Gore-Tex” is also set to debut during Holiday 2022. A women’s exclusive Air Jordan 5, they will come in a clean Off Noir, Rire Red, black, and Muslin colorway.
Drawing inspiration from 2009s Air Jordan DMP “Raging Bulls” Pack, the upcoming Gore-Tex Air Jordan 5 features a dark Off-Noir suede upper with Fire Red accents on the signature AJ 5 red shark teeth on the sneaker's midsole. The Fire Red hits can also be seen on the "Gore-Tex" stitched heel, the Jumpman embroidered on the 3M reflective tongue, and the lacelock. Toning things down, Muslin covers the mesh panels and the semi-translucent rubber outsole.
This iteration of the AJ 5 is not only about looks; it offers impressive functionality with the introduction of Gore-Tex technology. This waterproof, breathable material is incorporated into the design, making the shoes perfect for all types of weather conditions. Comfort hasn't been compromised either, with the Jordan 5's Nike Air units in the heel and forefoot provide additional cushioning.
The addition of Gore-Tex weatherproofing is reflected in the price of the upcoming Air Jordan 5 Retro Gore-Tex W with a retail price of $220. It will drop in November overseas and in the United States in December at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers.
