Jordan Brand’s foray into turning retro Air Jordan models into golf-ready sneakers began in 2015 with the Air Jordan 6 getting retooled for the green. Since then, many different Air Jordan models have been given this treatment, including the Air Jordan 9. While the last few years featured no Air Jordan 9 Golf shoes, 2024 saw the model return with some slight changes to the original Jordan 9 Golf. Since then, a range of OG and once-PE colorways have been launched in the model, with the latest AJ 9 Golf coming in a Tour Championship colorway.
Honoring the Tour Championship played by the PGA, the pair takes on a clean, sophisticated white color palette with silver and grey accents. The leather upper of the AJ 9 remains unchanged, with the mudguard and paneled upper all coated in a white hue. Metallic silver accents land on the Air Jordan tag atop the tongue, the 3D globe logo on the heel, and the 23 embroidered below the globe. More metallic silver is applied to the metal eyelets holding the white lace set in place, while grey hues adorn the sockliner and tongue lining. Underfoot, the sneaker features a white Jordan 9 middle with a semi-transparent spiked grey rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 9 Golf Tour Championship is available through select golf retailers now, with the pair having dropped on August 31, 2024. A wider release via Nike took place on September 6. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
